Suppliers, with whom we cooperate, take the enviroment very seriously (as you can see in our text about Sustainability) and the newest addition to this topic is the carpet with a poetic title Velaa - which in the local language on Maldives means "turtle".

German manufacturer Object Carpet used this carpet as a way to support the Healthy Seas organization. They try to raise awareness of torsos of old fishing nets which are in the seas worldwide. It is stated, that 640 000 tones of them get thrown in the ocean yearly. Turtles, seals, whales, birds and other sea creatures get stuck in them, because of which they senselessly die afterwards.

Technically Velaa is based on the Places of Origin collection - made from 100% recyclable Econyl fiber, produced from fishing nets and other nylon waste. The carpet design resembles a turtle shell. Velaa is available as a wall-to-wall carpet in rolls and in tiles.

For each square meter of Velaa sold, Object Carpet donates 5 percent of the sales to Healthy Seas.

Features of Velaa carpet:

• made of 100% recyclable Econyl fiber

• loop pile surface type

• dark green color, special colors on request from 200 square meters

• resistant, suitable for commercial areas, load classification 33

• available as a wall-to-wall carpet in rolls and square tiles

• ideal for installation with floor heating
