The glass building PPF Gate belonging to the investment company PPF Group underwent an interior transformation this year. The design of receptions, offices, meeting rooms and other spaces was entrusted to Barbora Škorpilová from the Mimolimit studio, who decided to use mainly materials in the natural shades - gray, brown, beige, white...

The overall interior concept works mostly with natural motifs - wood, greenery and materials that best suit these selected ones.

For the concept mentioned above, we searched for a floor covering material that would meet the design and at the same time load requirements in the given space. In the end, the choice fell on Nordic Textiles carpet tiles with a special treatment of ZigZag edges, which are cut by laser. Thanks to this, the secondary parts connect to each other perfectly and the connection between them is almost invisible.

The result is the appearance of a floor with a wall-to-wall carpet with all the benefits of carpet tiles.

Before the installation itself, it was necessary to dismantle the original floor covering (carpets that had already reached the end of their service life), grind the uneven surface completely, vacuum, repair any unevenness with a maintenance compound and paint the floor with the penatration - only then was the substrate ready for the process of installing the carpet tiles.

In total, in two floors we installed 350 m2 of these woven carpet tiles in a uniform shade of Plaza Taupe.
