Runner on a glass staircase

The Czech branch of the French Orlane Institute provides a wide portfolio of cosmetic and hairdressing services as well as related branded products. While there is a hairdresser's on the upper floor, downstairs there is a space for beauty services.

And it was the staircase that was the focus of our interest in this contract - made of clear glass and twisted several times, looks like a distinctive design element in the interior. For reasons of better safety, it was necessary to devise a solution that does not disturb the overall character of the space, and yet guarantee the necessary security feature.

In the end, the final choice was a comfortable contract carpet, the gray shade of which was chosen with regard to the level of necessary maintenance. The runner is sewn on the sides with thread in the same color.

The specialty was gluing the runner to a staircase that was bent several times.

We made a mat with the logo of the salon for the entrance, which is sufficient for the initial capture of dirt from the soles of shoes coming from outside. On request, we can produce the design of the mats either by printing or by carving out the entire motif and inserting it in a different color.
