Expona SimpLay non-adhesive floors (sometimes also called adhesive-free or lock-free vinyl flooring) are a specific category of vinyl floors. Conventional vinyl panels are either glued to the substrate or clicked together with a clicking system. SimpLay vinyl panels work on a completely different principle, which allows you to lay them without the need for gluing directly to the substrate or using fixation.

How does non-adhesive flooring work?

Compared to conventional components, Expona SimpLay flooring has a more robust construction with a special slip-resistant backing, which together with the higher weight ensures that the components even remain perfectly in place without glue.

Thanks to the bevelled upper edges of the panels, SimpLay floors can also compensate for smaller height differences of the base layer.

Advantages of Expona SimpLay vinyl flooring:

  1. Fast installation – thanks to the omission of the gluing phase, the installation of a non-adhesive vinyl flooring is much faster than with conventional vinyl floors.
  2. Possible replacement of parts – individual parts can be easily replaced in the event of local damage or the entire floor can even be moved elsewhere.
  3. Undamaged substrate – without the presence of glue, the substrate is undamaged even after dismantling the vinyl flooring.
  4. High durability – SimpLay floors meet high traffic classes (23, 34 and 43), so they are even suitable for the busiest areas.
